Benin: satellite collars to protect wildlife in Pendjari and W parks; Ines Magoum; Afrik 21

In Benin, the managers of the Pendjari and W national parks are completing the installation of satellite collars on 25 elephants and 14 antelopes. The initiative aims to improve the protection of these species, which are threatened by poaching and terrorism, and to reduce human-wildlife conflicts.

France returns historic artefacts to Benin and funds €20m museum to house cultural treasures; Andy Knaggs; Leisure Management

A €20m (US$22.4m, £18m) loan from the French Development Agency (FDA) is to be used in the construction of a new museum in Abomey, Benin, which will house objects of art and cultural heritage that are being restituted from France.
