Marco Polo had called this temple, The Brightest Star in the Galaxy of Temples, and today it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Kakatiya Rudreshwara Ramappa Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva, dating back to the year 1213 CE. It is said that this sandstone temple took 40 years to get built, and is a glorious example of the ancient architecture of this region.
