The competition – organised by the state capital Stuttgart, the state of Baden-Württemberg and the International Building Exhibition 2027 (IBA’27) – seeks concepts to upgrade the 33ha Modernist housing development which was originally created for the Deutscher Werkbund exhibition in 1927 and is now a partial UNESCO World Heritage Site.
