China has made remarkable improvement in the excavation, utilization and protection of cultural relics since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China in 2012, according to a report from the State Council.

The Extended 44th session of the World Heritage Committee was held in Fuzhou, Fujian province, from July 16 to 31. Tian Xuejun, chairman of the extended session and the Chinese National Commission for UNESCO, shares the outlook of World Heritage in China at the meeting’s conclusion.
