Winter is a magical time of year so we’ve partnered with Corinthia Hotels to bring you the the best of the season’s European city breaks. From Prague’s medieval spires and festive markets, to Budapest’s frozen lakes and London’s myriad al-fresco activities, these are our favourite cities in which to wrap up warm and explore the sights, dusted with a sprinkling of snow.
In the 19th century, Prague was named the The City of One Thousand Spires. Really, the total is closer to 500, but either way the labyrinthine network of roads surrounding the Old Town Square is dotted with chocolate-box buildings, royal palaces and ancient churches. The historic centre is a UNESCO World Heritage site, which means that in summer the whole city heaves with tourists.
