Quang Ninh (VNA) – Israeli President Reuven Ruvi Rivlin and his spouse on March 22 visited the northern province of Quang Ninh and the UNESCO-recognised world natural heritage of Ha Long Bay as part of their ongoing visit to Vietnam from March 19-25.
Vice Chairwoman of the Quang Ninh People’s Committee Vu Thi Thu Thuy welcomed the guests, introducing the local socio-economic development as well as the natural beauty of the province and the bay.
President Rivlin said that he is delighted to visit Ha Long Bay, a famous heritage site. He also thanked provincial leaders for their warm welcome.
The couple is scheduled to leave for Ho Chi Minh City later the same day.
