UNESCO’s regional director Katherine Muller Marin praised in Camaguey the Office of the City Historian in Camaguey for the work it has done in its 20 years.

UNESCO’s regional director Katherine Muller Marin praised in Camaguey the Office of the City Historian in Camaguey for the work it has done in its 20 years.

The regional director for Latin America and the Caribbean spoke at the inaugural session of the 11th International Symposium on Challenges in the Management of Cities underway in the eastern province.

The specialist highlighted the work of different institutions for the preservation and conservation of the historic city declared a World Heritage Site in 2008.

She added an alliance also implies benefits in culture, one of the facilitating elements in sustainable development and a strategic resource for inclusive, creative and sustainable human settlements.
